Dàniel Yovkov
As a photographer and human being, I stand firmly for the values of dignity, justice, and compassion.
I am a photojournalist covering social and political issues across Europe.
My work is rooted in empathy and a belief in the power of storytelling to shed light on people and perspectives often left in the margins. Through on-the-ground reporting and sustained observation, my photography explores the relationship between individual lives and broader social and political contexts. I aim to produce images that are ethically grounded, visually clear, and attentive to the complexity of the situations they document.
I work primarily on independent reporting and long-term observation of social and political developments.
My reporting spans multiple countries and cities across Europe, including Athens, Paris, Rome, Novi Sad, Sofia, and Kyiv.
My photography is currently distributed through Hans Lucas.
My work has been published internationally by leading media including The New York Times, Bloomberg, CNN, Deutsche Welle, Die Zeit and Mediapart, among others.
My work seeks to foster understanding between subjects and audiences worldwide, encouraging careful looking and informed reflection.
